by Mark Lerner (August 15, 2011) Constitutional Alliance Stop Real ID Coalition We do not need or want forced biometric enrollment, RFID licenses or other identification documents, CCTV or the centralizing of all our personal information including SSN’s and our biometrics.
What we want and demand is our liberty that comes from our Creator.
Living in a free society and a surveillance society cannot be reconciled. We will no longer confuse lifestyle with freedom. Once you finish reading this commentary you will understand why the “deciders” want biometric enrollment and the rest of the invasive technologies and laws that are being implemented.
Imagine for a minute you are in government or a corporate leader and you knew that our country cannot possibly resolve all the problems our country faces. What would you do when one or any combination of the balls our country is juggling hits the ground?
As a person who has walked the halls of many state capitols, met with members of Congress, their staff and counsels; I have walked the walk that allows me to provide the following commentary. You can ignore the plea I make within this commentary and live with the regret. I do not think freedom loving citizens want any regrets when it comes to protecting their Constitutional rights.
Many citizens are hands on supporting their candidates of choice. There are also many who are not engaged and most likely will not be until right before the 2012 election. We as citizens support candidates because we do want solutions. Those that are elected will not take office until January 2013. I certainly want candidates that support our Constitution in their actions, not just words to be elected to Congress and as the President. That being said what can we do as citizens to protect our rights now?
Some of the challenges/problems we are confronted with as a country
The national debt, the deficit, unemployment, foreclosures, three wars, a decaying infrastructure, dependence on foreign oil, a failing education system, one the highest incarceration rates in the world , a war on drugs that has been and is being lost, a healthcare system that is broke, unfunded/underfunded private and public pension plans, “bad paper” on the books of banks, a lowered credit rating, illegal immigration, no energy policy, gang violence, a terrorist threat, trade agreements that benefit other countries and not the United States, banks failing at historical numbers, states and municipalities that are close to or at insolvency, unfunded entitlement programs, $3 billion a year spent by lobbyists supporting special interests groups, international organizations and globalism (does not include election contributions), historically low numbers in both confidence in Congress and consumer confidence, and an increasing number proportionally of people living in poverty. Unfortunately the list is not all inclusive; there are many other problems or challenges that we face.
Let’s be realistic
At this point or more precisely in January 2013 even if the “right” person does get elected President there is no assurance Congress will support the President. Even if likeminded candidates got elected to Congress it would take years to address the problems our country is confronted with. In the meantime we cannot forget acts of terrorism, natural disasters, or other events out of our control would exasperate the situation our country already is in.
Why elections are important and those that are engaged must continue to do so
When and not if the weight of all the problems we face result in our country crashing we must ensure that we survive the crash and come out on the other side with the principles and values that have made our country great. We must ensure our Constitution remains the law of the land. The only way to assure we do survive the crash is to elect the “best” candidates in 2012.
Are there those that do not want our country to “survive” at least as we know it
The simple answer is “Yes”. The “deciders” believe they know what is best, not the people. “Consent of the Governed”, “Representation” and the “Presumption of Innocence” are all nice words or phrases but exactly what meaning do they have today. Each of us can name many times that the will of the people has been ignored. Representation cannot exist when one or just a handful of lawmakers can decide a bill should not be heard or voted on. That is the case in Congress and most state legislatures. The presumption of innocence does not exist when all citizens are being enrolled into a single global system of biometric identification that directly links their body to their ability to buy, sell or travel.
If anyone believes our rights are not being eroded they have not heard of the Patriot Act, the Real ID Act 2005 or any of the other pieces of legislation that have resulted in a loss of our rights. It is not just Congress but the courts who have failed us all. It does not matter what race you are, what religious preference you have, what political ideology you have, what your financial standing is or what education level you have reached; law enforcement should not be allowed to come on to your private property without a search warrant, attach a GPS device to your privately owned vehicle and then track your every move but that is exactly what some judges have ruled.
As a country we are each being prepared for the upcoming “crash”. Those doing the preparing are the “deciders”. They are preparing each of us for slaughter or at least the slaughter of our Constitutional rights.
Some in our country will say it is the bankers, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderberg Group or any number of others who are driving the policy of the United States. I am not going to argue but simply point out we should all be able to agree the sovereignty of our country has been and is under attack from many different directions. If we lose our sovereignty our Constitutional rights will disappear.
We as citizens must start being prepared and what we must do and can do NOW
We as individual citizens must start doing the “preparing”. Yes, we need to elect the “right” people in office but we cannot and must not wait.
The Constitutional Alliance has led the fight against the Real ID Act in our country. We have worked with people, groups and lawmakers in nearly every state. The Real ID Act’s official implementation date has been delayed three times as a result of the effort against Real ID.
We at the Constitutional Alliance have witnessed in person the influence of special interests groups and lobbyists on state lawmakers and members of Congress. I, myself spoke with a lobbyist for Safran, the company that now holds the driver’s license contract for nearly every state in the United States. The lobbyist preferred being called a consultant. I not so politely told the person what they could do with their “suggestions”. A state lawmaker who was and is supporting our efforts authored legislation Safran did not like. The state lawmaker had no intention of speaking to Safran’s minions but I had no problem telling them what I thought.
If you are not familiar with Safran you had better start getting familiar with this mega conglomerate. As a result of Safran’s purchase of L-1 Identity Solutions, a U.S. headquartered company the next driver’s license you get will be a “Safran” license. What’s that, “You do not care” if this company has access to your personal information, including your biometrics? Would you care if you knew Safran is a French company, 30% owned by the French government and has had a nearly 40 year partnership with Red China? I thought that might get your attention. If you wondered how this sale took place without Congress interceding, the answer is simple; the sale did not require the approval of Congress, only the Treasury Department or more precisely the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States which falls under the jurisdiction of the Treasury Department.
Kaye Beach, a Board member of the Constitutional Alliance is taking action now. She has retained two of the best qualified attorneys in our country to represent her in a suit against the state of Oklahoma. There are many issues that will be raised in Kaye’s case including, biometrics and the global information sharing of U.S. citizen’s personal information. Whether a person is a Christian or not to fully appreciate what Kaye is doing read three one page documents on our web-site www.constitutionalalliance.org that are contained in a section titled “What Christians Need to Know” that is located on the top left hand side of our homepage. Many of the Jewish people in addition to the Christians I speak with have grave concerns about what they learned from the three documents.
If you have a “gut” feeling or smell a dead rat in the room about our government creating a 24/7 digital footprint of the who, what, how, when and where of our lives then support the Constitutional Alliance. Government for the most part is not denying what it is doing but rather tells us it is for our own good.
The crash is coming. One or more of the balls being juggled is going to hit the ground. We must stop trying to avoid the crash and start preparing for the crash and just as importantly ensure we survive the crash with the values and principles that have served our country well. We must ensure our Constitution remains intact. At a certain point, we are at that point, we must realize the hurricane is going to hit us and it will be a strong category 5. Another way to look at our situation is to say you are in a car and just hit “black ice”. You must at some point recognize your car is going to smash into a large tree and go from trying to avoid the crash to preparing to survive the crash. You must make sure your seatbelt is on and you have your cell phone accessible so you can call 911. If you do not move into survival mode you will die most likely still trying to avoid the crash. If we do not move to survive the crash as a country our Constitutional rights will die.
Kaye Beach and the Constitutional Alliance are in survival mode. Kaye is ensuring by her sacrifice that we each have our Constitutional rights once the crash occurs. Kaye’s legal battle has already received national media coverage just this month http://www.homelandsecuritynewswire.com/oklahoma-woman-battles-against-real-id
The Constitutional Alliance has most likely worked with the organization or group you belong to if in fact you are a member of any group or organization. Even today the leaders of different groups and organizations have contacted me about what Kaye Beach is doing and why it is important to every citizen. Citizens from all over the country have called, emailed me or contacted me through the Constitutional Alliance’s web-site to do in their respective states what Kaye Beach is doing in Oklahoma.
The Constitutional Alliance does not take donations from groups or organizations. We rely on citizens.
Today in the England and here in the United States we are witnessing what many governments around the world have already done. Social networking sites and cell phone service have been shut down in many countries by government. Here in the United States and in England lawmakers are considering similar action to stop citizens from dissenting. Whether a person lives in Greece, London or in Philadelphia the answer must be to provide transparency and communication when a crisis exist.
Our government and other governments are forcing a 24/7 digital footprint on us for control not security. Julian Ashbourn, Chairman of the International Biometric Agency believes we need a “Global agency with global powers”. No regrets; let us stand firm and tell Mr. Ashbourn he can do what he wants in Brussels but stay out of the business of the United States.
We formed the Constitutional Alliance to educate citizens about the many ways our country, our government, our lawmakers are taking control of citizens. I joined FaceBook because I thought it was one more way to educate citizens. I have reached the 5,000 “friend” allowed limit and recently added a “public figure” page. I am asking that citizens not only be “friends” but be supporters. If people would contribute $5, $10, $20 or whatever they can afford we can educate citizens in every state so that they many have their own Kaye Beach regardless of what state they live in. Please do not assume others will donate; take partial ownership in what the Constitutional Alliance has and is doing by you donating today. Please donate here and visit constitutionalalliance.org I am not suggesting citizens do what Kaye has and is doing. The role of the Constitutional Alliance is to provide information so citizens can make informed decisions. Decisions without information are only educated guesses. Right now the only ones collecting information is our government and that information is your information. You have already seen what happens when you give government your money; imagine what it will do with your personal information.
You also have the option of donating by check. Simply send your check to Constitutional Alliance, PO Box 81, Berwick, Iowa, 50032.
