Legislation Proposed now Legislation Introduced

The Constitutional Alliance is very busy working with state legislators across the country and members of Congress.

The Constitutional Alliance has two Concurrent Resolutions (a Concurrent Resolution must pass both chambers of a legislature and does not require gubernatorial approval) and one piece of legislation (see below) that have been and will continue to be introduced in states or commonwealths across the country.

No other organization in the country is doing what the Constitutional Alliance is doing. The efforts that the Constitutional Alliance is engaged in, with the legislation and Concurrent Resolutions, may take this year and into next year to complete in all 50 states and/or commonwealths. Please take a minute to read the summary of the legislation and each Concurrent Resolution. Links are provided so you can read the actual legislation and Concurrent Resolutions where they have already been introduced. You will want these in your state or commonwealth.

We strongly encourage you to sign up for our email updates and monthly newsletter. You will want to be a part of what we are doing. You will want to make sure your state or commonwealth is going to be introducing, or already has introduced our proposed legislation and Concurrent Resolutions. You want to be part of the solution (protect your rights), not the problem (do nothing). They are each for the benefit of the good of the country and all people.

Please share this with your friends and groups that you belong to.

Legislation

The legislation bans the use of Facial Recognition Technology, absent reasonable suspicion of committing a felony crime. An exception by any state or commonwealth, or local jurisdiction is a court approved, or issued warrant.  There is also an exception for missing persons provided a family member or guardian gives written consent. The warrant can be a John Doe or Jane Doe warrant provided an individual is captured on CCTV or other camera committing a felony crime. You have a right to peacefully assemble, support candidates, protest, and seek redress of your grievances without being put on a watch list and your name in databases of suspected terrorists.

Concurrent Resolutions

The first Concurrent Resolution reads that should the Real ID Act 2005 Official Purpose(s) be used to require a Real ID compliant drivers' license to purchase a firearm and/or ammunition, the state or commonwealth will no longer comply with the Real ID Act 2005. The Constitutional Alliance is working with state legislators and legislative attorneys in several states already to have the Concurrent Resolution passed. When many states and commonwealths pass this Concurrent Resolution, it will send a strong message that stales and commonwealths will not accept gun control being done by using the Real ID Act 2005. The airlines, hotels, and restaurant sectors will support this Concurrent Resolution. The Executive Branch already has too much power.

The second Concurrent Resolution says that a state or commonwealth, legislature or assembly, will tell their congressional delegation to support funding NAPHSIS (The National Association for Public Health Statistics and Information Systems) $50 million. The importance of this Concurrent Resolution cannot be overstated. This is essential if we are ever to purge voter rolls of deceased people, and make sure people in our country unlawfully cannot vote. NAPHSIS oversees the digitizing of birth certificates and death certificates. Through the programs NAPHSIS uses, there are no new databases created, including there would be no federal database of birth certificates. The state and/or commonwealth would maintain their own database. Currently, states or commonwealths Department of Motor Vehicles do not verify birth certificates as required by law, or make sure the birth certificate of a deceased person is not used to acquire a drivers' license. The funding of NAPHSIS will allow states/commonwealths to verify birth certificates, and ensure the birth certificate of a deceased person is not used to acquire a drivers' license. We must know a person is who they say they are.
