I fail to see a reason to celebrate. What I do see is a reason to honor those that have sacrificed to protect the freedom we once had.
Those include the men and women in our military and yes, those in law enforcement. Yes, there are those in the military and law enforcement that have lost their way but that is no different than the public at large. We should honor all citizens that are sacrificing to regain our Freedom and restore our Constitution. There are many Freedom lovers and “causes” but each wants our Constitution restored. I do not care who it is or what their “reasons” are; a free society and a surveillance society cannot be reconciled. We must stop confusing lifestyle and freedom. July 4th to me is no longer a time to celebrate but rather a time for prayer. The 4th is a time to pray for forgiveness for not preserving what God has provided. It is a time to pray for our children and grandchildren. When we rely on man we will fail; God makes all things possible. For those that compromise looking for a “seat at the table” I say first you were not invited to the table, then you got your seat and you were ignored, now you question whether there still is a seat for you, and from this time forward you will come to understand there is no longer a seat or table. We should all keep in mind we can pray everyday but if we fail to act the next day our prayers will go unanswered.
