NATIONAL SECURITY AND ECONOMIC PROSPERITY
Why one should ask this Presidential Debate question:
Presidential Debate question. The reason we are asking all groups, the individual members of groups, and those who do not belong to any group to send (cut and paste) the paragraphs below to CNN for the debate in ten days is our nation is at a heighten risk of an attack on our soil, which would involve foreign born people who are not U.S. citizens. While it is true, people unlawfully in the U.S. impact the cost of education and healthcare, as well as other costs including welfare, the motivation for asking the question below is protecting our national security. In 2001, our country was $1 trillion in debt. Today, our country is $34 trillion in debt, not counting unfunded entitlements. Additionally, our economic prosperity must not be put at risk because federal and state law is not being enforced, and has not been since 2005, when the Real ID Act 2005 was signed into law. This is not an endorsement of the Real ID Act, or for that matter any candidate, but rather what is best for our national security and economic prosperity. Elections have consequences. Should voters decide they want tougher immigration laws they will vote for the candidate they believe will push for such laws. If voters decide they want immigration reform, they will vote for such reform by choosing their candidate of choice.

The Presidential Debate question to ask:
"This Presidential debate question is for both candidates. The Real ID Act was signed into law nineteen years ago. The purpose of the law according to it's author was and is to make sure people are who they say they are. The importance of knowing people are who they say they are was emphasized by the 9/11 Commission. Although the technology exists and the necessary telecommunication network exists, the verification of acceptable breeder documents, such as birth certificates, is not happening. Biometrics do not prove identity. What would you both do to make sure the law is followed, especially given all states have been deemed to be Real ID compliant?"

Partisan politics aside, CNN is asked to ask both candidates on June 27th, during the hosted CNN debate, what is one of the most important questions any candidate for congress or the presidency can be asked. The question is at the top of this email. This is a matter of national security, especially with eight ISIS members just arrested in the United States, and economic prosperity. Regardless of whether a person is a democrat, independent, or republican the question is paramount for all Citizens. Federal law, the Real ID Act 2005, Division B, Title II, Sec.202 and Sec 203 requires the verification of a person's full name at birth, date of birth, and the place of birth. Citizenship status is important because people in the United States on a Visa must have the expiration date of the Visa listed as the expiration date on their Real ID drivers' license. In 2017, The Department of Homeland Security deemed all states Real ID compliant. They cannot and should not be compliant if they are not verifying the required breeder documents. The breeder documents establish a person's full name at birth, date of birth, and the place of birth as the law requires. Currently, most states are not verifying the documents required. The technology and telecommunication network necessary already does exist. The majority of United States citizens provide their birth certificate. There are other federally acceptable breeder documents. Again, I ask CNN to fulfill your responsibility to the public, and ask the question provided.
